ST. LOUIS — A three-car crash in downtown St. Louis sent several people to the hospital early Thursday.
According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, the crash happened at about 12:30 a.m. Thursday at Dr. Martin Luther King Drive and Jefferson Avenue. Two vehicles were traveling eastbound on MLK Drive when one hit a curb and flipped multiple times, ejecting the driver. One of the vehicles hit a building, and the other collided with a parked shuttle bus.
One person was temporarily trapped, police said. The driver and multiple other passengers were taken to an area hospital for treatment.
A total of five people were injured in the crash. Police said they did not expect any of the victim’s injuries to be life-threatening.
Speeding may have been a cause in the crash, police said.
