Driver arrested for operating fake emergency car

There have been previous reports and video circulating on social media of the same vehicle. The vehicle had lights and a siren.

ST. CHARLES, Mo. – A driver was arrested and is facing charges for operating a vehicle with emergency equipment.

St. Charles City police responded to Highway 70 and Cave Springs Wednesday morning for reports of a vehicle driving with emergency equipment operating and was not believed to be an emergency vehicle.

There have been previous reports and video circulating on social media of the same vehicle. The vehicle had lights and a siren.

Officers located the suspect vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. The driver of the vehicle, 25-year-old Michael Wallace, was arrested. On Wednesday, he was charged with false impersonation of a law enforcement officer and driving on a revoked or suspended license.

His bond was set at $10,000, cash-only.
