ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — A man was killed Tuesday afternoon in a head-on crash in Clarkson Valley.
The crash happened at around 3 p.m. on Clarkson Road near Kettington Road, in an area that is patrolled by the Chesterfield Police Department.
Chesterfield Police Sgt. Robert Powell said a 26-year-old man was driving southbound on Clarkson Road and veered into the northbound lanes, striking a pickup truck. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the pickup truck was taken to an area hospital with minor injuries.
Clarkson Road was expected to be closed for several hours as an accident reconstruction investigation was underway.
