EAST ALTON, Ill. — The East Alton Police Department called for anyone with information to come forward after a pedestrian was killed Tuesday evening in a hit-and-run.
The victim was struck at around 7 p.m. on the 600 block of Powder Mill Road, near the Winchester Ammunition plant. The vehicle left the scene.
Police did not immediately release the name of the victim or a description of the vehicle.
