EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. — Eastbound Interstate 64 on the Poplar Street Bridge has reopened after a crash and spill closed the roadway for several hours.
According to the Illinois State Police, the crash happened shortly after 8:15 a.m. on I-64 on the Poplar Street Bridge.
Illinois police said troopers responded to a crash involving an overturned truck tractor semi-trailer and a dump truck. A spill on the roadway was reported, but police did not say what kind of liquid it was.
One person was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
The roadway was closed for about two hours and reopened at 10:35 a.m.
