Fourteen of 34 public school districts in St. Louis scored at or above the national average for the ACT. The national average for the ACT in 2017 was 21, whereas the average for Missouri was 20.5, and the average for the 34 districts surveyed was 20.2.
Massachusetts had the highest average from its 2017 graduates, with an average score of 24.7, and Nevada had the lowest average, at 18.2, according to ACT Inc.
