A train engineer was taken to the hospital after trains collided in the St. Louis Zoo Friday, a press release said.
The crash happened a little after 3 p.m. A press release from the St. Louis Zoo said a train engineer was taken to the emergency room to be checked out, but he is expected to be OK. No visitors were injured.
According to the press release, 150 visitors had to leave their seats on the train and medics were on hand to check for injuries.
The crash damaged one engine and one car. The Zoo expects the trains to be back in service by Saturday by 9:30. The train was traveling at 8 mph at the time of the crash.
