UPDATE: Power has been restored.
Underground equipment failure is to blame for a power outage in a downtown area of St. Louis.
According to Ameren, 900 residents in several buildings are without power as of 2:15 p.m. Monday. The area without power is along Broadway and Locust. Crews responded to the area around 11:30 a.m.
Power is expected to be restored by midnight. No injuries have been reported.
