ST. LOUIS — A fatal crash closed the westbound lanes of I-70 at Jennings Station Road early Friday morning, according to a statement from a Missouri State High Patrol spokesperson.
MSHP troopers were at the scene of the crash. Investigators said it happened after a driver was traveling the wrong way on the roadway.
Troopers say a person was driving a 2020 Chevy Trax the wrong way on I-70 when her car struck the car driven by Latricia Robinson, 32. Robinson was killed in the crash. The driver of the Chevy Trax was placed under arrest under suspicion of driving while intoxicated and was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
