Arrest made in shooting near Florissant shopping center that left 1 dead

Police said "everyone involved" in the case is now in custody. Officers responded to the call at 3:15 p.m. Friday.

FLORISSANT, Mo. — A Friday afternoon shooting near a shopping center has left one person dead, authorities said.

The Florissant Police Department said officers responded at 3:15 p.m. to a call for shots fired on the 8300 block of Lindbergh Boulevard.

When police arrived to a parking lot area, they found a person dead with a gunshot wound.

The area is near a Schnucks, Wendy's, Phillips 66 gas station and other businesses.

Friday afternoon, police said "investigators are currently interviewing persons of interest as they work diligently on this case."

Later that night, police said "investigators have since taken everyone involved in this case into custody and charges will be pending." The department did not specify how many people were arrested.
