'Fill The Ambulance' aims to fill pantry shelves

All day Wednesday, residents at retirement facilities and the St. Charles County Ambulance District will partner to fill pantry shelves at 11 different retirement homes with donations from the public.

ST. CHARLES COUNTY, Mo. — As the holiday season kicks into high gear with less than two weeks to go until Christmas Day, several around the St. Louis area plan to spend their days helping those facing hunger.

All day Wednesday, Operation Food Search and the St. Charles County Ambulance District will partner to fill pantry shelves at 11 different retirement homes with donations from the public. The event runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The full timeframe of retirement homes accepting donations is below:

  • 9 a.m.: Twin Oaks Stone Ridge (Santa Elena Drive; Wentzville)
  • 9:15 a.m.: Twin Oaks at Heritage Pointe (Savannah Terrace, Wentzville)
  • 9:45 a.m.: Lakeridge Senior Apartments (Technology Drive, Lake St. Louis)
  • 10:10 a.m.: Garden Villas of O'Fallon (S. Outer 364, O'Fallon)
  • 10:40 a.m.: Park Place Senior Living (Boardwalk Place Dr., O'Fallon)
  • 11:15 a.m.: Breeze Park (Breeze Park Dr., Weldon Spring)
  • 11:50 a.m.: Lake St. Charles (Honey Locust Drive, St. Charles)
  • LUNCH
  • 1 p.m.: River's Edge (Rivers Edge Dr., St. Charles)
  • 1:30 p.m.: Windsor Estates (W. Randolph, St. Charles)
  • 2:00 p.m.: Boulevard Senior Living (Ehlmann Rd., St. Charles)
  • 2:20 p.m.: Brookdale Senior Living (Jungermann Rd., St. Peters)
