FLORISSANT, Mo. – What would you do if you won the lottery?
A Florissant woman’s dream came true when she read the ‘Show Me Cash’ winning numbers for Jan. 2 in the newspaper.
Barbra Altman’s ticket matched all five numbers drawn to win the $173,000 jackpot.
“I had my friend check it, too. Then I checked online,” she explained. “That is when I decided to head to the Lottery office. Now, I believe it.”
She claimed her prize hours after she found out.
“I want to buy a truck. A new truck will help with traveling the country,” shared the retired Florissant resident.
She bought her winning ticket at Discount Smoke Shop, 2726 N. Highway 67, in Florissant. The retailer will receive a $500 bonus for selling the winning ticket. The winning numbers for the Jan. 2 drawing were: 3, 14, 16, 17 and 18.
Show Me Cash is a daily draw game with jackpots that start at $50,000 and grow until they're won. Altman’s winning ticket marks the first Show Me Cash jackpot won in 2019 and the 543rd jackpot won since sales for the draw game began in 2008.
