Fundraiser dinner being held Monday for Defiance boys killed in house fire

The Daniel Boone Elementary PTO is holding an Italian dinner fundraiser Monday from 4:30-7:30 p.m. in the Daniel Boone Elementary cafeteria.

DEFIANCE, Mo. — The public was invited to attend a fundraiser Monday evening for two young brothers who died in a house fire earlier this month. 

The two boys, 6-year-old  Jameson and 4-year-old Julian Keiser, died on Jan. 19 after a fire started in their home and they were trapped inside. The children's mother and grandparents were able to get out, but Jameson and Julian later died after being pulled from the home by firefighters.

The Daniel Boone Elementary PTO is holding an Italian dinner fundraiser on Monday from 4:30-7:30 p.m. in the Daniel Boone Elementary cafeteria in Cottleville.

Tickets are $12 in advance or $15 at the door with the option to add a donation. All net proceeds go directly to the boys' family. For more information, click here.

Funeral arrangements were also announced Monday for the boys. Visitation was scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 1 from 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. and the funeral was set to start at 1:30 p.m. at Baue Funeral Home - Cave Springs in St. Charles. Interment will follow at St. Charles Memorial Gardens.
