Gateway Arch closes for renovations

The interior of the Gateway Arch is temporarily closing to visitors.
The 630 foot Gateway Arch is silhouetted along with the city skyline in St. Louis on October 28, 2015. Fifty years ago on this date the last section of the Gateway Arch was put into place.

ID=74794098ST. LOUIS -- The interior of the Gateway Arch is temporarily closing to visitors.

Workers are building a new Arch museum store and completing other renovations, including a new digital projection system in Tucker Theater, renovated restrooms, lighting and flooring updates.

Indoor experiences such as the Journey to the Top tram rides, movie screenings, and the Arch museum store will be off limits through March.

The Arch grounds and the Old Courthouse remain open to visitors.
