ST. LOUIS — After families gave thanks around the dinner table last week, St. Louisans have an opportunity on Tuesday to give thanks in a different way
Giving Tuesday falls on Nov. 28 this year. It's described as a "global generosity movement" meant to inspire people to give back locally. Many charities and nonprofits across the St. Louis area have launched donation campaigns for the holiday, with some advertising matching donations and other special offers.
Here's a list of St. Louis-area organizations participating in Giving Tuesday.
Gateway Pet Guardians: Donations made Tuesday will be matched.
Humane Society of Missouri: Donations will be matched up to $50,000
Metro East Humane Society: The humane society has a goal to raise $3,500
Stray Rescue of St. Louis: Donations will be matched up to $81,000
