Good Samaritans help family escape St. Ann house fire

ST. ANN, Mo. - Two people are recovering in the hospital after a large fire engulfed a St. Ann home Christmas Eve morning.

The fire broke out around 7:30 a.m. and immediately spread throughout the house. Firefighters on scene told NewsChannel 5 that six people were inside. However, at one point, one person was trapped.

The family said a good samaritan busted out the windows and helped that person get to safety.

At this point, the cause to this fire is unknown.
