ST. LOUIS — One of the most-watched Senate races in the country is set.
The Associated Press declared both races, and Claire McCaskill will try to defend her Senate seat against Missouri Attorney General Josh Hawley.
Incumbent Claire McCaskill had no issues with the six challengers in the Democratic challengers, but she is considered one of the most vulnerable U.S. Senators in the country. She is running for a state-wide office in a state Donald Trump won by nearly 20 points.
Other candidates in the Republican primary made waves, but Hawley had the national party's support, including endorsements from Trump and Vice President Mike Pence.
Both races were declared before at 8:30.
