FRANKLIN COUNTY, Mo. — Two people were killed Monday morning in a head-on crash in Franklin County, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Sabrina Bonfiglio, 26, of Sullivan and Kevin Snyders, 67, of Augusta were killed in the crash, troopers said. The crash happened at about 5:50 a.m. on Highway 47 near Reeds Plaza Drive, south of Union.
Bonfiglio crossed the double yellow center line on the road to pass a vehicle in front of her while her vision was obstructed by a hillcrest, the MSHP report said. Snyders reportedly applied his brakes in an attempt to stop before the collision.
The impact caused Bonfiglio's vehicle to travel off the south side of the highway and overturn. Bonfiglio was pronounced dead at the scene.
Snyders was pronounced dead at a local hospital not long after.
