ST. LOUIS – Will you be heading downtown on Saturday for the Cardinals or Blues game? You may want to check out Metro for your transportation needs.

Thousands of people will be heading downtown for the games and traffic will be heavy.

Metro said fans can park at any of the 21 free park-ride lots at Metrolink stations in Missouri and Illinois, purchase a round-trip Metrolink ticket for $5 and ride to any of the six stations in downtown St. Louis.

While both games are going on, Metro will monitor platforms for crowds throughout the day and will add extra trains into service as needed.

To accommodate track maintenance work, Metrolink trains will leave five minutes early from the Sunnen and Maplewood-Manchester stations, so passengers should plan ahead.

Those heading downtown can also take the MetroBus. Fans can ride on any of the 19 MetroBus routes to the Civic Center Transit Center, which is south of the Enterprise Center and two blocks from Busch Stadium.
