ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - The allergy count is what matters most today, because the only thing in the way of weather perfection is the tree population joining the rest of us to enjoy the sunshine and mild weather. Most large trees are in the moderate category.

High pressure filling behind last night's cool front sends breezy north winds across the region but also ample sunshine so, even with those north winds, highs will near 70 degrees.

Tonight a few clouds and lows will be in the low to mid 40s; on Wednesday only a few more clouds and highs will again returning to near 70.

Thursday's a different story and likely a stormy one. After a dry morning, look for showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening, some of which may be strong, along with highs in the mid to upper 70s.
