Historic Ellisville park renamed in honor of Blues Stanley Cup win

ELLISVILLE, Mo. — A historic park in Ellisville is being renamed in honor of the St. Louis Blues Stanley Cup win.

The Bluebird Park will be renamed to Blues(bird) Park, according to a press release.

The park is a staple of west county, hosting one of the largest Fourth of July celebrations in the St. Louis area. And this year, a Blues celebration and special tribute will be held at the Fourth of July celebration.

The mayor and city council will formalize the renaming of the park at a meeting on Wednesday. Community members are also invited to commemorate the renaming.
