ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — Fire officials are investigating back-to-back suspicious house fires in Riverview.
Early Wednesday morning, firefighters were called to the 400 block of Fork Drive for a fire.
Fire officials said the house is a total loss and said they are investigating the fire as suspicious.
“Whoever wanted to burn this house down really wanted to burn it down,” said Riverview Fire Chief Keith Goldstein.
The owner was staying across the street while his home was being renovated.
On Tuesday, firefighters battled another fire at a home on Diamond Drive, right next door to the home on Fork Drive.
Fire officials said they don't think this is the same fire bug they are looking for in connection to several fires on Enright Avenue.
Anyone with information about these fires should call police.
