St. Charles County companies collecting supplies for Hurricane Helene victims

Local residents in O'Fallon, Missouri, will collect supplies to deliver to Augusta, Georgia.

O'FALLON, Mo. — Thousands in the Southeast are still reeling from the impacts of Hurricane Helene, nearly three weeks after the storm struck.

Many in Missouri are looking to help and do whatever they can to help others dealing with the devastation left by Hurricane Helene.

Residents in O'Fallon, Missouri, will be collecting supplies to deliver them to Georgia. Porter Transit LLC will then deliver a semi-trailer filled with supplies to the Southeast.

The trailer will arrive at Resilient Boxing and 3-D Vision Basketball Academy at 51 Elaine Dr. in O'Fallon at 3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 14.

They're collecting any and all donations ranging from clothing to food to water and cleaning supplies. If you can't drop off supplies, you can donate money here.

The group will head to Augusta, Georgia, on Saturday, Oct. 19.

Many in the Southeast remain without power or water, nearly three weeks later. Some spots are still inaccessible and isolated with only helicopters able to reach them.

More than 230 people have lost their lives from Hurricane Helene with more than 120 of them in North Carolina.

Federal disaster assistance for Hurricane Helene survivors has surpassed $474 million.
