IKEA looking to hire 300 in STL

IKEA is holding informational meetings for those interested in learning about a career with its company.
Ikea workers are almost done with the new store's exterior. Focus will now shift to the inside: mechanical, electrical, plumbing.

ST. LOUIS -- IKEA is holding informational meetings for those interested in learning about a career with its company.

The meetings will be held at 6:00 and 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the St. Louis Community College- Forest Park campus in the Cafe West Room SC032, located in the Student Center. Anyone who would like to attend the information sessions should RSVP by calling (314) 657-3547. Topics discussed will include IKEA culture, hiring policies, benefits and the application process.

ID=26511085IKEA says it will be hiring jobs across various departments including sales, logistics, customer service, food service, human resources, interior design, finance and more in time for the store's opening in fall 2015.

Job descriptions will be posted on jobs.mo.gov and www.ikea-usa.com in the coming months as positions become available.
