ST. LOUIS — An Imperial teenager died after he was struck by an SUV on Gravois Avenue near Potomac Street in St. Louis on June 21, according to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department.
Chapel Hill Mortuary in Cedar Hill confirmed the teen, Logan G. Jackson, 15, died June 26. He was a Northwest High School student where he played football.
According to St. Louis Police Sgt. Charles Wall, Jackson ran across Gravois and was struck by a Ford Explorer.
“The juvenile was transported to an area hospital for treatment,” Wall said. “The driver of the Ford Explorer remained on the scene. I can confirm that the Medical Examiner’s Office was contacted on (June 26) and advised that the juvenile had been pronounced dead at the hospital. The investigation is ongoing.”
