ST. CHARLES COUNTY, Mo. — A woman was killed Wednesday afternoon in a crash involving a tractor-trailer on Interstate 70 in St. Charles County.
She was identified as Christine Schneider, 61, of Bridgeton.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened at 12:10 p.m. on eastbound I-70 west of Lake St. Louis Boulevard.
A crash report said a Freightliner Cascadia tractor-trailer unsafely changed lanes and struck the left side of the Ford Mustang that Schneider was riding in as a passenger.
Both vehicles traveled off the left side of the interstate, and Schneider was ejected.
She was pronounced dead at the scene about 15 minutes later.
No other injuries were reported in the crash.
