EARTH CITY, Mo. — A state-court judge in St. Louis on Wednesday denied the Los Angeles Rams' push to force a case over the future of its former practice facility in Earth City into arbitration.

St. Louis Circuit Court Judge Jason Sengheiser denied the Rams' motion to compel arbitration in the case, following a hearing Wednesday, according to court records.

An attorney for the Rams, JoAnn Sandifer of Husch Blackwell LLP, didn't immediately respond to a request for comment.

The Rams last month asked a state court to send a lawsuit brought by the facility's owner, the Regional Convention and Sports Complex Authority (RSA), to arbitration.

The RSA brought that lawsuit in October, after it said the Rams requested that it provide a quit claim deed transfer of Rams Park, located at 1 Athletic Drive.
