Man arrested after woman falls to her death at downtown St. Louis parking garage

ST. LOUIS — A man is in custody after a woman fell to her death from a downtown St. Louis parking garage over the weekend.

Police arrested Bradley Stephen Jenkins and he’s facing one count of third-degree assault.

On June 2, around 1:45 a.m., police received a call that a woman had fallen from the parking garage at 200 South Broadway.

When police arrived on scene, Jenkins was found straddling 27-year-old Allissa Martin’s body and he was covered in blood. Police said Jenkins appeared to be agitated and intoxicated.

According to court documents, Martin’s cell phone was found on the seventh floor of the parking garage above the area where her body was found and it was still recording. When police rewound the video, the recording showed her pointing the camera at herself and then turned it toward Jenkins – the two were arguing.

During the recording you can hear her yell for him to quit punching her face, police said. She eventually drops the camera. Shortly after that, you hear her scream as she falls and you hear the thump of her body hitting the ground.

Jenkins admitted that he and Martin were married on May 22 in Las Vegas. Police said co-workers were with them at the Cardinals game and they had gotten into an argument there. Police plan to interview those co-workers.

According to court documents, Jenkins told investigators several lies. He claimed that he had never been on the rooftop with Martin, but the video shows them together on the rooftop right when the video began. He also claimed the argument never got physical, yet on the recording you hear the argument being physical, investigators said.

An autopsy is being conducted of Martin and the investigation is continuing to determine whether the defendant should be charged with homicide in connection with her death, police said.
