ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — Police are investigating the drowning of a man in north St. Louis County Friday evening.
According to the St. Louis County Police Department, officers responded shortly before 8:30 p.m. to the 3700 block of Candlewyck Club Drive for an unresponsive man in a pool.
Officers pulled Salvatore Mattina,47, from the pool and attempted life-saving measures on him. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
No further information was released regarding what led up to the incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
