ST. LOUIS — A man died late Saturday night after he was wounded by gunfire in north St. Louis.
Police said the 25-year-old man was shot in the lower back and torso. The victim was taken to a hospital, where he later died.
The shooting happened minutes before midnight near Riverview Boulevard and Thekla Avenue. That intersection is between Walnut Park West and Walnut Park East neighborhoods.
A brief report from the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department said homicide investigators have been assigned to the case.
