ST. LOUIS — A polling location in St. Louis moved after a man hit the building Tuesday with his SUV and threatened to "shoot up the place," according to St. Louis Election Board official Secreda Thomas.
The man also poured bleach and water on the voting machines and on election officials, Thomas said. Nobody was injured.
The man was taken into custody and transported to a hospital for evaluation, St. Louis police said.
It happened at the Friendly Temple Missionary Baptist Church on Martin Luther King Dr., which was a polling location for precincts 1, 4, 5 and 8 in Ward 22.
Voting was interrupted for a couple of hours while election staff moved equipment to an alternate voting location, Pierre Laclede Junior Career Academy on 5821 Kennerly Ave.
