SULLIVAN, Mo. — A man won $100,000 Scratchers prize off of a ticket purchased from a Sullivan gas station.
The Missouri Lottery said the man bought a $2,000,000 Sizzling Riches ticket from the Circle K at 408 St. Highway 185. He said he plays that ticket regularly, and as he scratched, he knew he had a winner.
“I saw the $5,000 prize first, so I knew I had won something. Then it just kept getting bigger!" he told the lottery.
He said his wife initially didn't believe him and thought he was joking.
The man said he plans to use the money for Christmas shopping.
“It will help out for Christmas, for sure!” he said.
According to the lottery, Franklin County players have won over $31.4 million in Missouri Lottery prizes this fiscal year.
