TOWN AND COUNTRY, Mo. – Maryville’s athletic director has resigned, according to a university spokesperson, for ‘personal reasons.’
A letter sent to faculty and staff from university President Mark Lombardi says “Marcus Manning, Vice President for Athletics and Recreation, has resigned from Maryville, effective immediately, for personal reasons and we respect his decision. Marcus has done an outstanding job helping the university establish itself in NCAA Division II Athletics and within the GLVC. Under his leadership, Maryville has won the NCAA President’s Award for student athlete graduation rates for five consecutive years. Our athletic teams have enjoyed good competitive success under Marcus’s leadership.”
