ST. LOUIS — Two weeks after the St. Louis Land Clearance for Redevelopment Authority tabled a discussion to designate the former Millennium Hotel a blighted property, the former St. Louis staple faces an uncertain future.
The LCRA tabled the discussion to designate the hotel as a blighted property after receiving information that the owner was looking to sell the hotel, but it's unclear if that's the case.
Thursday night, the Millennium Hotel was listed on the website LoopNet, but the number of rooms and floors isn't accurate.
The website also lists daily rates for rooms at the hotel, which has been closed since 2014.
5 on Your Side reached out to LoopNet about these inconsistencies, and a spokesman initially said he believed the listing was fake because there was no asking price or listing agent. They later confirmed Inner Circle Capital LLC posted the property.
The website for Inner Circle Capital LLC. doesn’t show any listings in the St. Louis area and the company has yet to return our calls for comment.
5 On Your Side reached out to City Development Limited, the Singapore-based ownership group of the Millennium Hotel, but they have yet to respond.
A spokesperson said it's unclear if the LCRA will reconsider the discussion to designate the hotel as a blighted property.
The next LCRA meeting is scheduled for April 23.
