STE. GENEVIEVE COUNTY, Mo. — A 74-year-old woman was fatally struck by a minivan Wednesday evening after walking onto the highway into oncoming traffic.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, a woman was driving her Dodge Grand Caravan northbound on US Route 61, north of Missouri Avenue, when she fatally struck a woman who was walking across the highway headed west.
The St. Genevieve County coroner pronounced the victim dead at the scene. She was identified as 74-year-old Barbara Fisher of Bloomsdale, Missouri.
