ST. LOUIS — An Oklahoma National Guardsman last seen in Chesterfield has been missing since January, according to a report from the Owasso Police Department.
The missing and potentially armed National Guardsman is 22-year-old Sean Christopher Marcum. According to police, he has a history of being suicidal.
Marcum was seen leaving work near Tulsa on the last day of January. Chesterfield police pulled him over three days later, where Marcum allegedly told officers he was looking for work and trying to get to Springfield, Missouri.
Neither the Chesterfield Police Department nor the Owasso Police Department have returned 5 On Your Side's request for comment on what happened during the Chesterfield traffic stop.
The missing Oklahoman left his phone in his locker and has had no contact with his family, according to a National Missing and Unidentified Persons System webpage about this case.
Marcum has not reported to drill. The Oklahoma National Guard would not confirm if Marcum was absent without leave, Detective Fell at the Owasso Police Department said.
Police described Marcum as 5-foot-7-inches tall, weighing 120 pounds, with brown hair. He was last seen driving a 1999 Honda Prelude with an Oklahoma tribal plate: AE5320.
If anyone sees Marcum, they should contact Detective Fell at (913) 703-5842.
This is a developing situation. This article will be updated with the latest information as it is released.
