Missouri American Water investigating possible water main break in south St. Louis County

Missouri American Water said the leak could cause some customers to experience low or no water pressure.

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — Missouri American Water is investigating a possible water main break in south St. Louis County.

According to a notification from the water provider, a leak started just before 5 a.m. near Hawkins-Fuchs Road and Meramec Bottom Road. 

Missouri American Water said the leak could cause some customers to experience low or no water pressure.

Photos from the scene showed workers blocking off one of the lanes of Hawkins-Fuchs Road at Meadowgreen Trails Drive due to water on the roadway.

The alert said Missouri American Water expects the incident to be resolved by 8:50 a.m.
