ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — A man is dead after a two-vehicle crash in south St. Louis County.
St. Louis County police officers responded to a call about a crash on the 100 block of Kingston Drive around 5:30 p.m. Saturday. Police arrived to find a motorcycle and a car involved in the crash.
Both vehicles were traveling southbound on Kingston Drive when the driver of the motorcycle crashed into the car's rear end, police said.
The driver of the motorcycle was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead. He was identified as 56-year-old Jeff Zell of Courtois Street.
The preliminary investigation revealed four people were inside the car at the time the motorcycle made contact with it. All four occupants were taken to a local hospital and treated for minor injuries.
No identities have been released.
The St. Louis County Police Department Bureau of Crimes Against Persons detectives and the Accident Reconstruction Unit are investigating this crash.
