North St. Louis County house destroyed by fire Thursday morning

CASTLE POINT, Mo. — An overnight fire destroyed a home in Castle Point on Thursday.

According to the Metro North Fire Protection District, multiple departments were called to a home on the 10500 block of Earl Drive at around 1:15 for a fire. When they arrived, they found the home fully engulfed in flames.

Firefighters immediately started working to put out the fire while protecting an occupied house that was just feet away. Firefighters used a ladder truck to put out the flames from above.

The post said there were no injuries reported in the fire.

Six fire departments and the St. Louis County Bomb and Arson investigators were called to the scene. The fire departments were Metro North Fire Protection District. North County Fire & Rescue, Ferguson Fire Department, Black Jack Fire Protection District, Florissant Valley Fire Protection District and Spanish Lake Fire Protection District.
