Nude man who fled from homeowner after burglary also wanted for arson, investigators say

According to investigators, a nude 39-year-old Nicholas Combs ran away after he was confronted by a homeowner Tuesday morning in Eureka.

EUREKA, Mo. — Investigators with multiple agencies are looking for a man after a Tuesday morning burglary in Eureka, Missouri, according to a written statement from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.

According to investigators, a nude 39-year-old Nicholas Combs ran away after he was confronted by a homeowner Tuesday morning in the Jefferson County portion of Eureka. Combs was named as a person of interest in that investigation. 

The burglary happened in the 3300 block of White Oak School Road.

A felony warrant was issued for Combs' arrest for a Friday arson in the City of Eureka. The sheriff's office did not specify where in the city the arson happened.

In the statement from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, law enforcement officers described Combs as 6 feet tall and weighing 175 pounds.

"He is still believed to be in the area of Eureka on foot," the statement said. "Please contact 911 if you encounter this subject."

According to Missouri Revised Statute 569.050, "a person commits the offense of arson in the second degree if he or she knowingly damages a building or inhabitable structure by starting a fire or causing an explosion."
