Officer Ryan O’Connor will receive specially adapted smart home

According to the Gary Sinise Foundation, Ryan, his wife Barbara, and their four sons currently live in a small home that presents major challenges for Ryan's everyday life.

ST. LOUIS – Injured Arnold police officer Ryan O’Connor will receive a specially adapted smart home thanks to the Gary Sinise Foundation.

According to the Gary Sinise Foundation, Ryan, his wife Barbara, and their four sons currently live in a small home that presents major challenges for Ryan’s everyday life.

“The Gary Sinise Foundation is honored to provide this courageous officer and his deserving family a specially adapted smart home that will enhance Ryan’s rehabilitation process,” the foundation shared on its website.

In December 2017, Ryan O’Connor was shot while transporting a robbery suspect. In January, O’Connor was transported to a rehabilitation hospital in Colorado. He’s spent months rehabilitating and overcame a series of infections and other setbacks.
