LINCOLN COUNTY, Mo. — An Oregon man died after an all-terrain vehicle overturned in Lincoln County early Saturday morning.

From Portland, Jerome J. Vogt, 48, was driving the ATV in the Snow Hill area, on Jacks Road near Poppy Lane, when the crash happened around 2:35 a.m. Saturday.

According to a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the Vogt was traveling too fast for the conditions and failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway.

The ATV left the roadway's left side, and Vogt overcorrected, causing the ATV to overturn.

Lincoln County Coroner Dan Haven said Vogt died at the crash scene.

Vogt was driving a 2015 Polaris Ranger XP900.
