‘Body of Work: The Art of Eating Disorder Recovery’ tells the story of a woman who didn't accept that she had a problem until she was in her 50s.

It's part of an art exhibit at Maryville University. The artist behind the project didn't even admit she had a problem with eating until she was 53-years-old.

Judith Shaw's ‘Body of Work: The Art of Eating Disorder Recovery' is on view till Feb. 26th at Maryville University's Morton J. May Foundation Gallery.

According to the National Eating Disorders Association, the most effective treatment involves psychological, medical and nutritional counseling.
