ST. LOUIS — If you donated a coat to the Warners' Warmup, you’re in good company.
You should see all the coats they collected – too many to count, so far. That’s what officials with Kurt and Brenda Warners' Warmup say. But it is safe to say thousands of people will be warmer thanks to this effort.
Operation Food Search has partnered to be their distribution center. Volunteers sorted the coats on Nov. 7.
Thanks to the generosity of St. Louis area residents, it’s not just used coats that will be donated to help keep cold kids warm this winter.
Kurt Warner First Things First Executive Director Jen Zink said, “I'm pleased to be able to say that so far, we've been able to purchase 500 brand new children's coats thanks to the monetary donations that have come in. So, we're just so excited about the support of Saint Louis yet again for the 24th annual Warner's Warmup coat drive.”
2024 marks the 24th year of Warners’ Warmup. Kurt and Brenda Warner started the effort shortly after Kurt led the St. Louis Rams to a Superbowl championship. Kurt told 5 On Your Side that Warners’ Warmup has collected and distributed 300,000 coats to cold kids in need over the years.
If you still want to donate, deliver coats to Operation Food Search. You can also make a $15 online donation through Warner’s website to buy a coat.
