A local pastor known for appearing in commercials asking the public to "receive Jesus" was involved in a boating accident with friends while in California Monday evening.
Pastor Jeff Perry, who runs St. Louis Family Church in Chesterfield, was taken to a local hospital and is said to be doing well, according to the pastor's family.
An Orange County, California pastor, Bayless Conley, was one of two other people on the boat at the time of the accident. According to a statement from Cottonwood Christian Center, Pastor Conley underwent surgery and is in recovery.
