ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — One man died in a single-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon in north St. Louis County.
Officers with the St. Louis County Police Department found a man having a medical emergency after he crashed his Jeep Compass into the bushes of a home at about 4 p.m. near Larimore Road and Baron Avenue in Spanish Lake. He was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
A preliminary investigation found that the man was driving southbound on Larimore Road near Baron Avenue when he drove off the road, struck a pedestrian and then crashed. The pedestrian was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver was identified as Thomas Grant, 63, of St. Louis.
