Pedestrian struck, killed Wednesday in north St. Louis County

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — A man died at the hospital Wednesday after he was struck by a vehicle Wednesday in north St. Louis County.

The St. Louis County Police Department said the crash happened at 7:13 p.m. at New Halls Ferry Road and West Florissant Avenue. Officers from the department's North County Precinct arrived to find a man who had been struck by a car.

The man who was struck by the car has been identified as  65-year-old Curly Brown of St. Louis. 

According to a preliminary investigation, Brown was crossing the roadway eastbound when he was struck by a car driving southbound on New Halls Ferry Road. The driver stayed at the scene and was cooperating with investigators.

Brown was rushed to an area hospital, where he later died due to his injuries.
