ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — A man was fatally struck by a semitruck early Thursday morning on Interstate 55.
According to a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the deadly crash happened at about 12:40 a.m. Thursday. A stranded motorist was standing in the far right lane of I-55 northbound at Bayless Avenue when he was struck by a semitruck whose driver failed to see him.
The man, 45-year-old Antonio Green of St. Louis, was pronounced dead at an area hospital, according to MSHP.
The semitruck driver, a 35-year-old man from St. Louis, was uninjured in the crash. His truck sustained moderate damage, according to MSHP.
