Pedestrian struck, killed Sunday morning in St. Louis

It happened at about 3:20 a.m. at the intersection of Page Boulevard and Hodiamont Avenue.

ST. LOUIS — A person was struck and killed early Sunday morning in St. Louis' Hamilton Heights neighborhood.

According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, a car struck and killed the pedestrian at about 3:20 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of Page Boulevard and Hodiamont Avenue.

Real Time Crime Center video shows the driver, a 60-year-old woman, traveling eastbound on Page Boulevard when she hit the unidentified man who was sitting in the eastbound lane, outside of the crosswalk, while the light was green.   

Police have not shared why the victim was sitting in the street.

EMS arrived on the scene and pronounced the victim dead. 

The driver remained at the scene, and police said she is assisting in the investigation. 

Accident Reconstruction was requested. 

As of Sunday afternoon, police had not shared the identity of the victim.
