St. Louis Police are investigating after a man was struck and killed by a MetroLink train Friday evening.
The incident occurred near S. 20th and Clark Street around 7:20 p.m.
St. Louis Metropolitan Captain Steve Mueller said the victim was a homeless man is his 50s who was sitting on the wooden tie. The train operator told police the man made no effort to get out of the way.
MetroLink trains were disrupted for about two hours, but have since returned to normal service.
